Part 3 is working its way through the system as I write. If I remember, I'll come back and update this post with links, but so far you can get it from the following places:
"Dead Hand" on Lulu
"Dead Hand" on iTunes
"Dead Hand" on Kobo
"Dead Hand" on Amazon

"Dead Hand" follows on from the legend established in the previous two books. What I've realised is that I'm writing a story of blood; The "Bad Moon" series is essentially a tale of family. Hopefully you will recognise some of the characters and enjoy learning a little more about them and their world in the latest installment.

The artwork remains pretty minimal. I set out to produce as clear and simple a set of pictures as possible without too many distractions. I hope that it adds to the experience. I for one am really pleased with the end result.

I read an interesting observation in a review of one of my books the other day that talked about my minimalist approach to comic-making where the reviewer expressed an appreciation for the opportunity for the reader to fill in the gaps. That was my plan all along! Yes, I hope that I have created the room to allow the reader to think. "Dead Hand" delivers a little more of the same,

Where do we go from here?

Is this the end?

You'll need to read the story to find out. And when you know the answer, please will you drop me a line and let me know! ;-) Ha ha

I do have an idea for a part 4 forming, but to be honest, I'm all out of comic-making energy at the moment. I need to get back to my Highwayman Banjo build before the snows come. Perhaps this should be my next priority? If I do come back to comics then I promise you now that book 4 will be the best yet! Now... there's a promise!

As always I'd love to hear what you think of my comics. If you can, please write me a review. Good or bad, I do love to hear what people think. My favourite criticism so far is an anonymous 2-star review on Amazon that states simply: "read it but not sure". Ha ha. Brilliant!

Last week I started wondering whether the "Bad Moon" series could be turned into a film. Before I knew it I was busy casting the characters. Let's see if you agree with who I've picked to star:

Mr King ~ Tom Hardy
Pancho ~ Zach Galifianakis
Mr Paris ~ Crispin Glover
Rose ~ Aroa Gimeno
Agari Houki ~ Tadanobu Asano

Let's make this happen! Ha ha ;-)

  1. I love these comics! Beautiful, dramatic illustrations, intriguing characters and plots!

  2. Thank you for your kind words Liz. I really appreciate the feedback!
